Rajasthani Food

Traditional food is the amalgamation of authentic Indian components and condiments that enhances the entire cuisine. This kind of food is the foundation for variety of cuisines that have erupted from the traditional techniques. Multifarious communities in India have attempted to leave an imprint in the culinary world through their varied royal preparations displaying their personal touch. They have re-created flavour some delicacies by amalgamating simplest of elements. India as a country has come to light as a foodie’s haven, with a manifold of spices and the in-depth knowledge of their usage, it has bereaved other countries of this privilege. Tradition creates religions and every religion expresses its identity via food. For instance Gujaratis have the capacity to use vegetables as their primary component in preparations while Punjabis utilise chicken in most dishes. Differing in components doesn’t change the fact that tradition values and techniques are the underlying foundation for the vast popularity of Indian cuisine.

Rajasthani food is the only food preparation that can engulf the consumer with its rich creamy texture and buttered contents which are too tempting to resist. When good exquisite food comes to the mind, the first cuisine that accompanies the thought is Rajasthani food. Granted the creamy nature makes it highly fattening and heavy but once in a blue moon indulgence is not a sin. To succumb to the fragrance of the spices and ghee is human but owing to the heavy density, daily consumption is not an advisable practice. Other than that this cuisine is a Raja Durbar’s most prime attraction.

Family restaurants have emerged to satisfy the growing demands and have made limitless choice available to the consumer. It is no doubt a task to make every family member happy but it certainly is worth the effort. Tradition based dishes, being a local favourite is present on most menus but sometime the simplicity is not sustained. Hence traditional food requires ample of humble fusion of flavours to maintain its subtlety. While Rajasthani food is the complete opposite, being so heavily flavoured, it is tough to cope with the contrasting flavours and the extreme creaminess but once the flavour sets in, it gets even more difficult to resist.
